1. Apple trees take 4-5 years to produce their first fruit. Side note: What if we looked at our lives like this and allowed ourselves ample time to learn new habits, skills, or to start new endeavors?
2. Apples ripen 6-10x faster at room temperature than if refrigerated!
3. The only apple native to North America is the crabapple. Go figure.
4. Apples are a member of the rose family.
5. It takes about 36 apples to create one gallon of apple cider.
