With my firstborn, I made a lot of homemade baby purees. With my second, I utilized Baby Led Weaning alongside purees.
When I learned that there were potentially toxic levels of heavy metals in store-bought baby foods (see 1/20/20 post), I tried my best to make purees at home using whole foods.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I still resorted to food pouches and store-bought purees, but when I had the time, I made them from scratch.
And I learned that it was actually super easy, especially if you have a blender, food processor, or one of those fancy 7-in-one baby food makers that I gave away a few days ago!
