Yep, I’m still talking about sunscreen because it’s THAT important that you and your family use safe products that work!

Let’s take a look at the Banana Boat SPF:

❌It contains Oxybenzone, a hormone disrupting chemical. Read more about this harmful chemical here: https://www.ewg.org/…/the-trouble-with-sunscreen-chemicals/…

**Please avoid this chemical especially when choosing a product for your children who are more susceptible to hormone disruptors**

❌Contains Isobutane, which is a propellant that commonly causes irritation to eyes, skin, and lungs.

❌Contains fragrance that also commonly irritates eyes, skin, and lungs.

❌SPF is very high. Many people who purchase high SPF assume that they do not need to reapply often, which isn’t the case. Higher SPF gives people a false sense of protection and can end up harming more than helping. Stick to SPF 30 and reapply every could of hours and/or after sweating or swimming.

❌Product contains 9 different chemicals that rate a 3 or higher by the Environmental Working Group.

Now, what makes BeautyCounter’s sunscreen so much safer?

☀️We never use Octinoxate or Oxybenzone, ingredients known to contribute to the collapse of coral reefs around the world, making our sunscreens safer for both people and our oceans.

☀️We’ve chosen a non-aerosol, bag-on-valve actuator system. While it delivers the convenience and even application of an aerosol, it is actually air-powered. So, no potentially harmful propellant chemicals are sprayed into the atmosphere or onto skin.

☀️We use non-nano zinc oxide and evaluate its particle size to ensure there is no potential risk of respiration when sprayed and does not enter the bloodstream to cause harmful effects to the body.

☀️At Beautycounter, we prohibit chemical SPF filters due to their high potential for skin irritation. We prefer to use physical sunscreens, more commonly known as mineral sunscreen.

☀️Protects from UVB, UVA, and Blue Light rays! Why should we care about Blue Light rays? Check out this Harvard Medical School Publishing https://www.health.harvard.edu/s…/blue-light-has-a-dark-side

☀️It works and feels great on your skin!
