Swap Yoplait for Kite Hill

Ready to be creeped out? This post might BUG you 🐞

Yoplait Strawberry Yogurt vs Kite Hill

Yoplait Strawberry Yogurt is made with pasteurized reduced fat milk which I don’t recommend ever consuming; however, that is not the biggest issue here. This yogurt is colored with Carmine. What’s Carmine? It’s a bright red dye made from crushed cochineal beetles. Yep…bugs.

What I find so humorous about this is, Yoplait asks their customers to “protect wildlife” by recycling their yogurt containers. Are insects not wildlife?

Oh and if you’re super grossed out and saying, “I would NEVER eat bugs!” then ask yourself if you’ve ever eaten jelly beans or Skittles. Those too are made with crushed insects. Mmmmm bugs.

Now, if you’re into insect-less yogurt like I am, then check out Kite Hill!! This brand offers seriously delicious yogurt made from almond milk. What is it colored with? Strawberries.

If you’re wanting a yogurt with less sugar, check out their plain flavor and add your own fruit!

I have found Kite Hill yogurt at Fresh Thyme and Hyvee.

So, go bug free and choose Kite Hill.
