Feeding Baby Essentials!

Top 10 Essentials for Feeding Baby

Nothing is worse than buying a bunch of items for your new baby and having them sit unused. I had so many things that I never opened or only used once. I wish I had the list below when I was a new mama! It would have saved a lot of headaches selling my baby stuff on FB Marketplace.

So do yourself a favor and buy the items below because these are actually items you will use, A LOT. Like A LOT, A LOT.

So, here they are!

  1. Dr. Brown’s Glass Bottles: I loved these bottles! They did a great job keeping the air flow to a minimum. Less air bubbles = happier baby. I am including the links in the comments for these bottles as well as a plastic option.
  2. Ikea Highchair: I bought the stupid expensive highchair. It was a bear to clean AND it did not make my kiddos like their food better. I SO wish I would have just bought this $20 highchair from Ikea and spent extra money elsewhere.
  3. Boon Drying Rack: This drying rack is awesome! Works perfect for baby bottles, nipples, and all things feeding essentials! I love the white one, but it comes in green as well.
  4. Munchie Mug: This should be at the top because I LOVE these soooo much! When your baby is ready for snacks, these are perfect for them to carry around the house and on-the-go. The soft cover makes it easy for them to slip their tiny hands in, grab their snacks, and enjoy! The best part is, the soft cover keeps the snacks from falling OUT of the cup. Major win mamas! Buy an extra one because the soft cover does take awhile to dry after washing. Boon brand makes something similar but they fall apart easily. Boo to that!
  5. Stainless Steel Utensils- I have a bunch of different utensils in my drawer. THESE are the utensils that I grab first and hand wash because I use them all.the.time. They are lightweight and don’t fall apart like the ones with plastic handles. I also had a plastic handle break in half one time and there was MOLD inside the handle. Oh the horror!
  6. Disposable Placemats: These helped reduce my anxiety while at restaurants. I would clean the table but didn’t want to put my son’s food directly on the table or on a plate he could chuck across the room. These disposable placemats stick right on the table and stay put! Brilliant!
  7. Baby Food Maker: They didn’t have these bad boys when I was a new mama or I would have definitely bought one! This 8-in-1 wonder needs it’s very own post!! It steams, blends, chops, disinfects, and cleans! It’s a dream-come-true for those that want to make their own baby food (which is super easy and more affordable!)
  8. Baby Food Freezer Storage Trays- These are awesome because they hold 42 servings of food! Feel free to make a large batch of baby food in different flavors and store them in this BPA Free, PVC free, and dishwasher safe tray.
  9. Muchkin Fresh Food Mesh Teethers: I mainly used these when my sons were teething bad. I would freeze some chunks of banana or other fruit and then put the frozen chunks in these mesh containers. The cold felt amazing on their gums AND they were getting nutrients. WIN WIN!
  10. Silicone Place Mat: I used these A LOT! They stayed put and were super easy to clean. Plus they are PVC, BPA, Latex, and phthalate free! Can’t beat that!

What are/were some of your favorite feeding essentials?!
